Lanvera Announces New CD Archiving and Distribution Platform

(Carrollton, Texas) January 7, 2001

Lanvera, a premier document outsourcing company, is pleased to announce the availability of new high-speed CD archiving and distribution services. This new platform allows Lanvera to index and archive virtually any data stream in native format or convert input streams to Adobe PDF, the standard in electronic document exchange. CDs are available within hours of receipt of input files.

In conjunction with the CD archiving announcement, Lanvera also announced its discontinuance of microfiche production and conversion of all remaining customers to the new CD platform. CD archiving is vastly superior to microfiche because documents can be accessed instantly from any hardware platform using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, eliminating the need for specialized microfiche readers and printers and the labor required to manually find documents on microfiche. In addition, the expected life span of CD is over 100 years - microfiche is less than 10 years and CD archiving is less expensive than microfiche in most cases. One overlooked advantage of CD archiving electronic documents is the flexibility of copying the CD contents to internal servers for quick network access should the data be needed for short term customer service activities.

"I would be amazed if any company would consider continuing microfiche given the compelling reasons to move to CD archiving" said John Baldridge, President of Lanvera Group, Inc. "We've had nothing but rave reviews from our customers".

CD archiving is the final step in completing Lanvera's closed loop document production, delivery and archiving solution for business critical documents that require print / mail, Internet / Intranet delivery and electronic archiving.

Lanvera offers a complete suite of print / mail and electronic document services across all industries including document design, programming, laser printing, mail production, postage optimization, intelligent insertion, dynamic messaging, electronic documents, CD archiving and Web hosting for document retrieval.
