Lanvera Introduces Electronic W-2 and 1099 Services for Testing, Proofs, Reprints and Archiving

Users responsible for W-2 and 1099 production generally must rely on printed samples to verify that internally generated data and print programs are correct. Unfortunately, this last minute testing happens in the middle of critical production periods, forcing production delays to produce printed samples and fax for approval. Plus the samples typically come from the front of the file, which may not contain every data iteration possible.

Lanvera has solved the problem - users can download their entire 1099 and W-2 files in a PDF format, indexed by name, social security number and account number. Lanvera's PDF format is an exact image of what's to be printed including the electronic form, fonts, and even the audit codes printed for document integrity. PDFs, available within hours of receiving your files, offer the advantage of instantly viewing any form in the file for test verification - before production.

A final PDF of all forms produced will be made available for download with free Windows viewer software that allows individual tax forms to be printed to a Windows printer, faxed or e-mailed as an attachment, eliminating the need for tax software just to handle re-prints. The final PDF will be written to CD for off-site storage. Secure web hosting of 1099s and W-2s is also available.
