THE POSITION: This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Quality Assurance organization, measuring, assessing, and ensuring the overall quality of the Lanvera software offerings is superior in every regard. This role includes direct supervision of the Quality Assurance team, managing and building a team of quality professionals, taking ownership of the quality processes, mentoring supervising Quality Analysts at all levels, and collaborating across all teams within the company. Finally, this position requires an organized hands-on leader, who is effective in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities in a balanced and professional manner.
Ensure the day-to-day operations of the QA Organization
Lead and build a team of talented Quality Assurance Analysts whose experience and expertise can range from junior to senior levels
Review current standards and policies updating as required
Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
Act as an agent for change, continually striving for improvement in performance and quality
Mentor all team members on QA methodologies and best practices
Create a unified team environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration
Generate metrics and methodologies to measure the effectiveness of the QA teams’ practices
Work closely with Product Management and Development teams, ensuring timely delivery based on the defined Product roadmap
Investigate and resolve issues reported to the QA team
Work with operations to review and improve QA and testing environments to optimize current practices and results
Manage the planning and scheduling of testing efforts and test plan execution
Ability to assist the team with testing while providing direction and support
Define and recommend tools for automation and test case maintenance and tracking
Responsible for evaluating, hiring, and retaining staff motivating them to produce high quality work in a timely and cost-effective manner
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
8+ years of experience in the QA field.
5+ years of QA management experience leading a team of software analysts/engineers
Knowledge and experience with implementation of various testing methodologies, tools, and techniques
Proficient understanding and working knowledge of the agile development methodology
Ability to handle an extremely fast-paced development environment while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Knowledge of networking, operating systems, and virtualized environments
Proficient in test case design and development
Experience with implementing and maintaining automated testing tools and practices
Ability to deliver on deadlines and deliverables while balancing completing priorities
Proven analytical, planning, problem solving and decision making skills
Proficient understanding and usage of Microsoft technologies (TFS, Office, SQL Server) experience
Must demonstrate the ability to develop a testing strategy and write test plans
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, including good interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
