THE POSITION: The DevOps Configuration Engineer position is on the DevOps team working with other software developers, product managers, client services, IT Operations, and QA specialists. In this role, you will participate in building out our automation strategy surrounding all release activities including our solution and all third party software components.
Proactively investigate new opportunities for automation across the enterprise
Coordinate with other teams to facilitate automated product builds, deployments, and configuration updates
Coordinate the release of new software and systems
Engage with the product development and quality assistance teams to integrate software development and delivery from inception to full operation, ensuring robust released software and systems
Implement and create tools and systems that facilitate the development and quality to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment
Perform release configuration management for multiple application product development teams
Create , manage, and support development and test environments, including issue troubleshooting
Develop and automate standard operating procedures around common failure scenarios
Create and document system changes, updates, and resolutions
Monitor, analyze, and report performance statistics, focusing on proactive monitoring
Clearly communicate status of open issues to the team and management
Proactively review, recommend, and implement changes to the infrastructure
Confidently make informed, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
