Lanvera’ s platforms implement industry-standard security solutions including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML SSO, and multi-factor authentication. Lanvera is a Microsoft .NET shop leveraging the development stack’s latest versions for API layer and backend platforms. Client and Consumer-facing applications are developed with a componentized frontend design system consisting of Vue.js, Storyboard, Invision, as well as various other support tools.

The Application Support Engineer III is a versatile member of a client technical (DevOps) team supporting custom-developed and third-party applications, collaborating across the organization to provide exceptional client experience.  This professional is highly technical, has deep knowledge of Lanvera’s applications and serves as an escalation point for complex tickets.  In addition to operational facing responsibilities, this individual 1) creates scripts to automate workflows 2) develops metrics/KPI’s to enhance business intelligence.  Success in the role requires very strong systems and application support skills across on-premise and public cloud ecosystems.


  • Provide tier 3 (highest level) support for on-prem and cloud-based applications via ITSM ticketing system
  • Thorough problem-solving mentality, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) proficiency with follow-through on future preventative tasks
  • Make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Train/guide other ASE’s, ensuring operations and project work occurs effectively
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop automation and data analysis (ie. KPI) opportunities
  • Author Powershell scripts for automation and SQL queries for troubleshooting
  • Provide alert notification, documentation, and training for all automation scripts authored
  • Extract (ie. SQL queries) and analyze (ie. PowerBI) relevant application data
  • Present application metrics in a clear and consumable form (ie. tables, trends, graphs, dashboard)
  • Periodically present metrics and KPI’s to IT, Development, Client Services as well as Executive Leadership
  • Collaborate with Lanvera Enterprise Architects in making strategic technical decisions
  • Evaluate technical proposals for viability in the Lanvera application ecosystem
  • Engage in assigned project work and ensure application-centric projects run smoothly
  • Clearly and regularly communicate the status of open issues, automation, analytics, and project tasks
  • Follow disciplined Incident, Problem, and Change Management procedures
  • Develop documentation and champion established Lanvera best practices and standards
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Work in a highly collaborative software development environment that is primarily onsite


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years supporting complex enterprise software applications
  • 3+ years Microsoft technologies (Azure Cloud, Windows server, Web apps,  PowerShell, SQL query skills, SSRS, PowerBI, Report design, and generation)
  • 2+ years creating SQL queries / Powershell scripting with complex automation experience
  • Deep analytics, problem-solving, and logic
  • Scripting (ie. Powershell) and automation experience
  • Knowledge of IT best practices to maintain business-critical always-up systems
  • Strong organization and process-oriented skills
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in new software products or technologies quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, commitments, and assignments
  • Ability to mentor junior members of the DevOps team
  • A passion to continue learning
