THE POSITION
The Senior Full Stack Developer position is a hands-on role that emphasizes advanced skills in developing frontend web applications. This role works closely with UX Designers to translate static screen comps into fully functional responsive web applications. The Senior Full Stack Developer closely coordinates with the Backend Development team regarding API contracts and consumption. This position will leverage strong expertise in industry standard frontend frameworks and backend for frontend (BFF) design patterns to support Lanvera’s technology roadmap.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Convert static mockups produced by UX Designers into fully functional complex web applications.
- Collaborate with UX Team to develop and maintain a frontend design system standardized across all enterprise frontend applications.
- Work with the Enterprise Architecture team to establish standards regarding design patterns, tooling, DevOps, code quality, code management, documentation, and best practices.
- Collaborate with backend Software Developers to define API contracts implementing best practice design patterns for BFF layer of frontend applications.
- Provide expert guidance on frontend development standards supporting a two-year enterprise technology roadmap.
- Influence project planning and estimates.
- Drive assigned tasks to completion providing status update and issue escalation.
- Lead/participate in code reviews and technical meetings. Provide technical mentorship to team members.
- Coordinate with other teams to facilitate the build, deployment, configuration, and support of applications.
- Work effectively within a team environment to implement projects in a timely manner.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Front-End/Full-Stack Developer, with strong working knowledge of:
- Vue.js (Angular 2+ or React knowledge is fine, as long as you are willing to learn Vue.js)
- Node.js, JavaScript, CSS Pre-processors (SASS or LESS)
- Modern web standards, responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, common frontend design patterns
- The .NET platform, C# language and Microsoft SQL Server
- JSON
- Data Transformation
- Debugging and troubleshooting with Visual Studio and VS Code
- Unit Tests
- Managing external libraries and packages with npm and NuGet
- Experience designing and developing consumer-facing enterprise applications
- Experience with Git and peer code reviews
- Experience with Azure DevOps Boards (or similar work item tracking software)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills
- Strong attention to detail. Websites should match requirements from the UX Designers with a high-level of precision.
- Highly collaborative team player able to work effectively with all levels of project stakeholders
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience developing scalable, internet-facing, multi-tenant applications
- RabbitMQ (or similar .NET message broker)
- Build pipelines, release/deployment pipelines, and CI/CD
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with implementing authentication/authorization such as SAML, OAuth, JWT, etc.
